We added unique view counter in our theme which is twice faster than regular similar counters and has unique feature to count also views by 1 day, month, year. This will allow you to make dynamic blocks with popular posts. Instead of showing posts by their date of publishing, this function will show real popularity by period. So, your post can be posted year ago, but still can be popular.
To use this function, you can use next custom meta keys
rehub_views_mon, rehub_views_day, rehub_views_year in filter panels and in Tabs ajax widgets (Appearance – Widget – ReHub: Ajax Tabs).
